We have space for 6 toddlers, age 19 months to 35 months, at Little Gems Daycare.  In our toddler class we have a structured educational day.  We have a different theme weekly that our lesson is centered around.

In our toddler class we have Miss Leslie, or "La-La" to the children.  She has been with us from the first day. She also has experience working as a caregiver to the elderly.  We are so fortunate that she made the decision to join us in this endeavor.

Miss Madelene is also a retired educator who joined us as a part time helper in this group.  She has been an asset to our cause and the children love Miss Madelene!

Our schedule is flexible to our needs but usually follows the time frame set below:

7:00-8:00 - Greetings of the day, breakfast, free center play

8:00-8:30 - Carpet time to read thematic storybooks to the children

8:30-9:00 - Creative Activities that support our theme of the week

9:00-9:15- Clean-up, Diaper changing and potty routines, free center time

9:15-10:15 Outside play time

10:15-10:45 - Circle Time - Teacher instruction (etc.: song, dance, reading, bible verses, sign language)

10:45-11:15 - Special Activities or games

11:15-11:30 Clean-up, Diaper changing and potty routines, free center time

11:30 - 12:00 Lunch

12:00-12:15 - Ready for nap, cots, hands wash, potty, etc.

12:15- 2:45 - Nap time

2:45- 3:00 - Snack

3:00-5:00 - Free Center Play
