In our pre-K class we have Miss Amelia.  She has over 30 years experience in early childhood education and is a retired public school teacher.

In this class we have space for 12  three and four year olds.  Miss Amelia follows the Creative Curriculum for Pre-K.  She centers her lesson around themes.  The children have specific routines and rules they learn as they progress in this class.  The pre-K schedule is flexible but follows the pattern below:

7:00-8:15 - Greetings, Breakfast, free center play

8:15-8:45- Calendar time, pledge, weather, news, songs, movement

8:45- 9:45 - Restroom break, Center Time

9:45-10:30- Cleanup, Circle Time

10:30-11:30 - Outside time

11:30 - 11:40 - Restroom break, cots readied for naps

11:40 - 12:10 - Lunch

12:10- 12:15 - clean up and get ready for nap

12:15 - 3:15 - Nap time

3:15-3:30 Snack time

3:30 - 5:00 - Free Center time
